The project beeB is based on the development of intellectual outputs, staff and beekeepers training events and multiplier events dedicated to technicians, beekeepers and the general public.

Organic and good beekeeping practices in EcoRegions.

📆 Italy, 5th February 2021

A multiplier event was organised in the framework of an eco-region, in a southern Mediterranean context (with specific beekeeping practices, problems and constraints), with the aim of involving beekeepers, beekeeping technicians, farmers, associations and public services.

This event has aimed to disseminate the project and its objectives and to promote a debate on good beekeeping and organic practices, an assessment of the objectives and needs of the sector, with particular attention to the project’s target group: family beekeepers and women beekeepers. Some of the project proposals and materials were tested and disseminated. Field activities were included to deepen the results.

Designing pathways for innovation in beekeeping.

📆 Norway, September 2020

This multiplier event was organised by the Norwegian Beekeepers’ Association, in the context of a Northern European country (with specific beekeeping practices, problems and constraints). It involved beekeepers, beekeeping technicians, farmers, associations and public services to disseminate the project and its objectives and to promote a discussion on ecological and good beekeeping practices, as well as an assessment of the objectives and needs of the sector, with a special focus on the target group of the project: family beekeepers and women.

An important topic discussed was the breeding programme for the Nordic black bee and the meat bee, the two most common breeds in Norway.  Some of the project proposals and materials were also tested and will be disseminated.

Building bridges between citizens and beekeepers as a mean to protect bees.

📆 Croatia, 21th February 2022

This is a multiplier event organised in Croatia, which will focus on specific beekeeping practices, problems and constraints, with the aim of involving beekeepers, beekeeping technicians, associations, civil society organisations and citizens.

This event has served to disseminate the project and its objectives and to build bridges between citizens and beekeepers as a means to protect bees.

Bees and pollinators - better practices, better environment, better health.

📆 Estonia, 18th March 2022

A multiplier event, organized in Estonia, located in a humid continental climate zone, of high latitude and influenced by the proximity of the Baltic Sea (with specific beekeeping practices, problems and constraints), aiming to involve beekeepers, beekeeping technicians, researchers, associations and public services to disseminate de projects and its objectives and to promote a discussion of bee health and nutrition issues.

Some of the project proposals and materials will be tested and disseminated. An effort will be made to include field activities to deepen the results.

beeB - Foster for beekeeping bridges through innovative and participative training.

📆 Portugal, 20th to 30th August 20022

A multiplier event – Final Conference was organised in Viseu (Portugal), an inland region, where family beekeeping is the most common reality, with the participation of the 3 Portuguese EcoRegions and the SIPAM of Barroso.

The multiplier event is addressed to beekeepers, beekeeping technicians, associations, public services, teachers and researchers, civil society organisations and citizens, as well as policy makers (from the agricultural, educational and local sectors), in order to disseminate the project and its objectives and to increase the potential impact of all the results.

Ideation for training in beekeeping with innovation and knowledge.

📆 Spain, 30th & 31th August 2022

A multiplier event, organised in the context of Natura 2000, in Galicia (Spain). Aimed at beekeepers, beekeeping technicians, farmers, associations and public services, it will disseminate the results of the project and promote a debate on ecological and good beekeeping practices, an assessment of the objectives and needs of the sector, with special attention to the target group of the project: family beekeepers and women.

Special emphasis was put on nature conservation and environmental issues related to the survival of bees and pollinators.
